Cooking with fire

Construct a wood-fired brick oven. The challenge was incorporating it into a gabion retaining wall, with the front fixed to the top of a 65,000 litre concrete rain water tank and the back anchored into the ground.

Worth Noting
This oven has an outer brick skin around the inner dome with the space in between filled with Perlite for insulation. This allows you to remove the fire when you’ve finished cooking pizza and the retained heat is suitable for baking bread, or certain dessert dishes.
